Asymmetrical shape: The fins have different profiles on the inside and outside. On the outside, the water has to travel a longer distance. This creates lift toward the rail that’s in the water, giving it better grip. The profiles on both sides are optimized for the speeds at which you ride a twin-tip. They aren’t flat on the inside but have a profile, making them more effective at twin-tip speeds.
The asymmetrical shape also makes the board more responsive, so it turns more like a surfboard. You must mount the fins on the correct side of the board: the “this side out” marking should face the rail.
